]]>One of Pi’s OEMs, Indra Water from India, was one of the winners of this prestigious award for their modular, self-contained wastewater treatment systems which will be deployed in schools and colleges in Mumbai.
Indra Water Private Labelling
Indra Water’s wastewater treatment systems combine Pi’s water quality instrumentation with patented treatment technology, which removes water pollutants in a low-energy, chemical-free process.
Pi’s CRIUS® instrument controllers are fundamental to the treatment systems, providing precise data feedback to improve efficiency. Several of Pi’s sensors are integrated into the treatment systems to monitor the effectiveness of the electro-coagulation based process, including:
As part of the integration of Pi’s equipment, Indra Water ordered their own company branded labels for the CRIUS® analysers. Private labelling is a service that Pi can provide, in certain circumstances, for a small one-off fee enabling companies to incorporate Pi equipment into their own systems, as well as increasing their own brand awareness at the same time.
Pi’s head office contact for Asia, Julius Guth, who has been working closely with Indra Water to provide the best combination of measurement equipment to monitor their treatment process, spoke about the award:
“It’s fantastic for our partner, Indra Water, to be recognised for their achievements in providing an innovative and affordable wastewater solution for schools and colleges in Mumbai. I take great pride in providing equipment which not only helps to improve water quality but can also help to make a real impact on the lives of young people in developing countries.”

]]>The Vietnamese Government’s drive to improve drinking water quality and clean up industrial waste effluent presents a fantastic opportunity for water treatment manufacturers to provide equipment to help the government meet their aims, and create a better environment for the people of Vietnam.
Pi’s Julius Guth in Vietnam
Pi’s head office contact for Asia, Julius Guth, travelled to Vietnam to meet with several companies who have shown great interest in Pi’s products. Julius spent time with water treatment companies across Vietnam, travelling from the capital city Hanoi, to the beach city of Da Nang and finally to Vietnam’s main business centre of Ho Chi Minh. This provided a real insight into the key relationships between water treatment companies and the Government.
All of the companies Julius visited showed a strong desire to work with Pi. Two companies were identified to act as official distributors of Pi’s products in Vietnam. Lappro Automation (with co-operation from Senco and Saigontec) will distribute Pi’s products for clean water applications, particularly focusing on:
Deahan (part of the Seiki Group) will distribute Pi’s products for wastewater applications, particularly focusing on:
The trip wasn’t all work though, Julius was able to take in some Vietnamese culture as he visited a fire-breathing bridge, the ancient town of Hoi An, the eye-opening War Remnants museum and even had a ride down the river in a traditional Vietnamese coconut boat.
When commenting about his trip, Julius said:
“It was an amazing experience to visit such a lively and vibrant country that never seems to sleep! I look forward to partnering with both Senco and Deahan and I will ensure that the other companies I visited in Vietnam have the opportunity to work with Pi through these distributors.”

]]>The post Pi supply five Irish Water plants in Wexford with CoagSense Coagulation Controllers appeared first on Process Instruments.
]]>Pi’s CoagSense at Creagh
Working closely with a contractor, CSL, five plants in Wexford now have their coagulation process controlled by Process Instruments CoagSense coagulation controllers.
Alongside Peter Houlihan from CSL, Process Instruments (IRL) Ltd. supplied and commissioned the CoagSense coagulation controllers at Taylorstown, Newtown, Vinegar Hill, Kilmallock and Creagh, all in Wexford.
Good coagulation control is essential to achieving the water quality goals set by Irish Water. In particular, the reduction in organics found in many water supplies across Ireland is essential to reducing Disinfection By-Products (DBPs) and in order to do that, a coagulant is dosed into the raw water. Getting the right amount of coagulant has traditionally been one of the most challenging aspects of water treatment.
Process Instruments Ireland has been working with Irish Water for a number of years to develop the CoagSense. The CoagSense controller has different sensors on different sites (including pH, Flow, UV254, Streaming Current and Turbidity) to continually assess raw water quality, and doses pH adjustment chemicals and coagulants in order to condition the water correctly for the next stages of the plant.
The additional five plants bring the total number of successfully installed and CoagSense controlled water plants in Ireland to thirty.
Part of the success of the CoagSense, has been the process of working with the contractors to design a bespoke control system for each plant using the building blocks that go into a CoagSense. From there, Process Instruments Ireland works closely with the operators to ensure that they are fully trained and comfortable in this innovative and high-tech solution to a long-standing problem.
After working with the operators during installation and commissioning, Process Instruments Ireland continues to support the operators using the remote access provided with the CoagSense. Pi’s remote access can allow specific analysis of results, and remote identification; a problem that can then be rectified on site by operators.
Tim Harte of Process Instruments (IRL) said of working with operators of plants with newly installed CoagSense coagulation controllers:
“It is a joy to work with operators as they go from healthily sceptical to accepting to enthusiastic users of CoagSense. I particularly enjoy helping operators get tighter and better control over plants that have potentially given coagulation problems in the past. We are all working towards better and healthier drinking water all of the time.”
See how the CoagSense Coagulation controller could help you manage your water treatment or take a look at Pi’s range of treatment products to find the right system for you.

]]>The post Pi partnership to transform North America Industrial Market appeared first on Process Instruments.
]]>Recently, Pi’s Managing Director Mike Riding was invited to visit EquipSolutions to present the results of a current project between the two companies.
During his visit, Mike provided extra training, specifically on being able to customise each CRIUS® instrument controller to meet the exact needs of Equip’s customers and providing bespoke manuals for the CRIUS® controllers.
Anthony Glitto, EquipSolutions’ Director of their Distribution division said:
“One of the attractions of the CRIUS® to us is that it is totally customisable for every one of our customers. Having the capability in house to do this customisation will certainly add value for our customers. Having the manual bespoke to each instrument means that our customers won’t receive a massive manual full of pages and pages of information that doesn’t relate to what they’ve bought. Having the bespoke manual means that they get the highest quality information relating to their instrument specifically.”
Reflecting on his visit to EquipSolutions, Mike Riding said:
“Equip are an extremely important partner to Pi, they are wholly committed to working with Pi in order to add value to their customers’ operations in North America using the CRIUS® platform. It was lovely to see that Pi stood out on their company timeline that is there for all to see in their extremely impressive facility in Chicago. Equip has great people, doing a great job and already the work put in by both partners is beginning to pay off with great reviews coming back from the first installations.”
The future looks bright in the North American Industrial Market, with Pi and EquipSolutions working together seamlessly to support their customers.
